A small cottage in the trees along a Scenic Byway in Nantahala National Forest. One bedroom, one bath, sleeping three — with the National Forest starting at the property line and Franklin twelve minutes down the road.
The cottage
One bedroom, one bath. A queen bed in the bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, so the cottage sleeps three. It is a byway, so riders come through during the day — heavy insulation keeps it quiet inside.
The water
The rushing creek is a short walk off the deck, and you hear it any time you are outside. A little creek trickles past the back door.
The forest
Nantahala National Forest starts at the property line. The cottage sits along a Scenic Byway, surrounded by trees.
The town
Franklin is twelve minutes away, with supermarkets, shops, cafes, breweries, an arcade and a movie theater. The town is known for hiking, fishing, gem mining and mountain scenery year round.

What is the pet policy?
We allow large dogs. Small dogs are not permitted. The pet fee is $180 for up to 2 dogs. Please let us know if you have more than 2 dogs. Please contact us with the breed, age and weight of your dog(s) prior to booking if you are unsure if your dog fits the criteria.
Where you'll be
Franklin sits in the Nantahala National Forest, an easy drive from Highlands, Cashiers, Bryson City and the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We send every guest our local guidebook before arrival.
